Our home was recently sold and our listing agent was Liliane Weinstein. Lil’s way of dealing with us is worth noting and I believe, worthy of high praise. The process of selling a home is complex. The property must be priced at a level where we can see the highest return, but it must be reasonable relative to location and market conditions. There’s another factor that is much more difficult to quantify: INSTINCT.
We felt our home had a certain specialness that warranted pricing it somewhat higher than “market”. Liliane did not try to pull us down in price in order to make her job easier. Rather, she listened to us and said that yes, the home shows very well, let’s try. She never ever made us feel that we were foolish, but instead worked as we wanted, showing and marketing our home in a way that expressed the value we felt existed. Indeed, our home ended up selling at a price significantly higher than similar properties in our area.
